Your feelings roam, room after
room focusing on each new detail as the most perfect expression
it may have. Wide spaces blend in an ultra- modern dimension, with a mirror of emotions
and reflection of the world that surrounds us.
This young couple wanted an elegant house with a clean line and spaces:
A large living room with high glazed windows meant to capture the maximum sunlight possible , then four bedrooms on the upper floor, each bedroom with a door leading to the terrace to be able to enjoy at most the surrounding landscape and assuring high energy performances.
This house with its specular elegance welcomes us in its wide and luminous entrance where eyes wander out beyond the horizon line. The floor is made of mass gres porcelain with stucco of same color and it gives its contribution with its homogeneous appearance to confer an unostentatious elegance to the large living room.
Even the kitchen, with induction stoves and self-cleaning oven is irradiated by natural light and it is in connection with the living room where there are large high glazing units./p>
The stairway is a piece of furniture : that looks lighter with its glass balustrade and wooden steps, and the same wood used for the floor in the night zone to create continuity of the flooring from one room to the other.
The expedients used in the architects design are interesting when they use the loft as a sleeping room and let you enjoy the view of the whitened x-lam ceiling from below.
Space is optimized in the most beneficial way possible: like the staircase to be used as a wall closet and there are other spaces for closets in bedrooms and for cupboards in the kitchen.
Everything has been carefully studied, for example, like sliding roller shutters made of the same larch wood used for the external façade of the house. Weathered larch creates a film dressing that protects against external agents and turns greyish. That’s why sheet metal applications, stone linings, roof applications and outside window and door frames look greyish.
Considering the particular location of the land, we thought it would be good to enhance as far as possible panoramic views, limiting window openings in the north and south facing walls. In the four bedrooms we studied daylight to come in through angular windows so that there be natural light coming in from two sides, shadowed when needed by sliding shutters.
In the living area we studied special lowering effects with plasterboard where high energy-saving led spotlights are set.
This creates a relaxing and uniform lighting mood for rooms, modeling and defining spaces.
Outside, lighting scenes design volumes: spotlights are set under roof projections and they create night play of light. Ground level illumination create effects of light and shadows enhancing the stone finishing.
The moving operation you are able to select during daytime for shutters and light sensors makes sure you only use the amount of light which is really necessary: this creates a balance between architectural requirements, well-being of people and energy costs.
The terrace has been designed to naturally shade the south-placed window and to cover the east-side porch. The garage placed on the north side contributes to give symmetry to the house.
Stone lining has been chosen to characterize projections.
This large patio with smoothed cement paving emphasizes the link created with a beautiful green lawn and an olive tree on the inauguration of the house. A corner of the house with evening light that can give the gift of an intimate and cozy atmosphere.
The structure of the villa has been realized with the 5 layer x-lam combined to completely natural insulating materials like wooden fibre and cellulose flakes.
The layer structures have been specifically designed to be vapour-permeable, just like the siloxane-based outside plaster is, and this is fundamental to make a wooden house long-lasting over time.
Windows and Door Frames are made of PVC – aluminium, Internorm brand with triple glass which has low emission gas inside to decrease thermal transmittance values.
Thanks to a heat pump with integrated storage for hot sanitary water and fed by a photovoltaic 6 kw system , this villa no longer depends on gas.
The controlled mechanical ventilation plant with heat and humidity recovery assures continuous air exchange inside the house and gives incomparable comfort.
A basic Home automation system monitors all functions of window shades, alarm system, video surveillance and temperature control directly from a single control point.
