Insulate, insulate, insulate, the roof must have excellent thermal insulation properties (thermal conductivity small U) to protect against cold weather and must have a large thermal lag (more than 12) and a high damping ratio to protect from heat. That’s why we have chosen natural cellulose flakes as insulation material, right thickness (over 26), which will protect us from heat and cold better than any other material and they are also resistant to insect attack and have a low environmental impact.
We realize a ventilated roof to avoid temperature flow from roofing to underlying layers.
Ventilation offers excellent advantages: such as comfortable living, longevity of structures and energy saving.
An airspace between insulation and the roof assures air flow and improves thermal insulation to roof.
The breathability of the roof depends on the type of natural materials used which are vapor open but also weather resistant.
